Here at Burns Sheehan, we are working with a growing technology organisation in the assessment and recruitment space, currently scaling both organically and through acquisition. As a result, their tech landscape is evolving quickly, with multiple products and cloud environments to bring together. They are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the team and help introduce structure, consistency, and best practice across a genuinely multi-cloud estate.
This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on improving operations, optimising cloud usage, and building scalable deployment processes across a number of products and engineering teams.
Core Responsibilities- Support and optimise cloud environments across AWS and Azure
- Implement best practices across infrastructure, deployments, and platform operations
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple products and teams
- Drive cost optimisation across cloud environments, identifying inefficiencies and reducing spend
- Work closely with engineering teams to support deployments, releases, and platform stability
- Help standardise infrastructure and processes across a growing, multi-product environment
- Strong experience across AWS and Azure
- Background in infrastructure/operations with a move into DevOps
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar)
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security principles
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation)
- Exposure to containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) and scripting (Python, Bash) is beneficial
