5 days onsite – Sloane Square

Here at Burns Sheehan, we’ve partnered exclusively with a London-based commodities brokerage operating across global energy and derivatives markets, supporting front-office trading teams across Europe. They’re looking to hire a Trade Floor Support Engineer to join a small, hands-on technology function supporting a fast-paced trading environment. This is a front-line role where reliability, problem solving, and the ability to adapt under pressure matter more than knowing every system on day one.

This role suits someone with ideally exposure to financial services, commodities, or a similar environment, who wants more responsibility and visibility and ideally having worked in Trade Floor environments previously.

The Role:
  • Provide in-person IT support to both front and back office users in London as well as Remote support for teams in Paris and Milan
  • Act as the 1st point of contact at the start of the day for system, login, and hardware issues
  • Desk-side support including - Build and configure PCs, User onboarding and offboarding, Access Management across Active Directory, Entra ID, Mimecast, Sophos...
  • Work with external technology partners to resolve issues
  • Support core trading and communication platforms used by the business

You don’t need experience with everything below, but exposure to some is useful:

  • Trading and brokerage platforms such as Trayport Joule, C9 Trader, webICE
  • Chat tools including Refinitiv, ICE Chat, Bchat and WhatsApp
  • Microsoft Excel at a practical level (formulas helpful, not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.

Sound like the role? Feel free to get in touch to discuss in more details.
