Role: Principal Engineer
Salary: £110,000 – £150,000 per annum
Location: Office based in London but able to support remote workers

They are now seeking a Principal Engineer to take ownership of the technical strategy for critical, customer-facing systems. This role is about driving architectural leadership that directly translates to business success. You will be central to scaling a platform that is redefining lending in the SME space.

Strong track record of collaboration with non-engineering stakeholders (Product, Commercial) to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Experience in FinTech, E-commerce, or Product-Led SaaS businesses where engineering directly impacts commercial metrics (e.g., conversion rate).
Recent roles must demonstrate a blend of hands‐on delivery with strategic system design, avoiding roles focused purely on internal platform or infrastructure.
Management experience is a nice to have as you will manage a small team of engineers.
