Hybrid working – once a week onsite in London. We’re partnered with a scaling Series B FinTech based in London who are now looking for a Tech Lead to join their growing team. The business is rapidly growing, and they support large global organisations to automate and strengthen their financial control processes with the use of AI-powered solutions. Their platform transforms financial operations by replacing manual workflows with intelligent automation. As a scaling business, they operate in a fast-paced environment where ownership, innovations and impact are highly valued.

This role will be reporting into the VP of Engineering, and the Tech Lead will play a key role in scaling the engineering organisation where you’ll be combining technical leadership, strategy and people management. You’ll be involved in defining frontend architecture, establishing engineering standards, mentoring future leaders and contributing directly to the development of a modern, high-performing web platform.

What will you be doing:

  • Lead, mentor and support engineers including Lead Engineers
  • Support performance management and career development planning
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture
  • Define and maintain frontend architecture standards using React and TypeScript
  • Establish best practices for component design, state management, routing and data-fetching
  • Contribute directly to the codebase (approximately 30% of the role)
  • Support code quality through reviews, incident management and developer coaching
  • Align technical execution with broader organisational goals
