Overview
This Data Lead is a genuinely interesting one because despite it being with an established company that has been around for circa 10 years, it is essentially owning the Data Platform for their new products.
To be transparent about this Data Lead role, in the past the company hasn’t necessarily put data at the forefront of their mind. This has joined following a restructure and a CTO who used to be the VP of Data for a number of household names and their new strategy is around the concept that if this is going to work, Data & Product need to be the priority. The new CEO is also backing this initiative.
Purposefully not going into too much on the company, but this Data Lead role has a story to it and could be super exciting for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Outstanding hands-on capabilities across a variety of Analytics Engineering & Data Engineering capabilities
- SQL/DBT/Python/Airflow etc
- Genuine curiosity when it comes to commercial work (why are we doing what we are doing)
- Innovative and can work independently
And for the most part, that is kind of it in the sense we are looking for a person rather than just a tick box exercise!
