Location: Hybrid (1-2 days/week in office)

Management Responsibilities: 2 x Data Scientists

Our established client is looking for a Contract Lead Data Scientist to lead their Data Science function while staying hands‑on with complex, high‑impact projects. This is a chance to shape the technical roadmap and deliver real business value.

The Role:

As a Contract Lead Data Scientist, you will:

• Lead & mentor a small Data Science team, providing strategic direction and technical guidance
• Drive the Data Science roadmap while remaining hands‑on in a Senior / Principal capacity 🛠️
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and senior leadership to deliver data‑driven solutions
• Work on projects across Pricing, Recommendations, and Personalisation (experience preferred but not essential)
• Communicate complex insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong technical skills: Python, SQL, machine learning, statistical modelling
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing stakeholders
• Experience working closely with product and wider technology teams
• Excellent communication skills and strategic thinking
