The predicted salary is between 800 - 1400 £ per month.

Learn essential skills and qualities including communication, problem-solving, presentation and written work, along with how to work confidently within a team or individually. Over the course you will gain experience in practical and academic study which will involve demonstrations, written work, practical activities, group work and presentations.

You will gain experience through industry guest speakers, trips/visits and events that will enhance your CV and give you the necessary tools to progress into this exciting industry or onto further study.

Start Date/s: 02/09/2026

Entry Requirements: 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, or a relevant Level 1 qualification.

Modules: During the year, you will develop your knowledge of customer service, guided tours, travel and tourism destinations, visitor attractions and events.

Assessment: The assessment methods will vary and reflect the types of communications used in the travel and tourism sector such as creating displays, reports and presentations and will also include practical involvement in role play and group activities. You could choose to progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma or a Themis Apprenticeship.

Equipment Needed: Travel based uniform, which includes a white shirt and black trousers or skirt, and smart shoes. It is recommended that learners have access to digital equipment, however this is not essential for the course.

Equipment Supplied: The Travel Training Suite offers a variety of equipment and resources available for lessons, assessments and demonstrations. Please note that uniform is required when participating in role plays and assessments. You will be invited on a range of trips and visits as part of the study programme as well as working towards volunteering awards and further qualifications relevant to the industry. You will take part in invaluable work experience to progress into industry successfully or onto Level 3 study.
