The Sale Sharks Women’s U21s Rugby Programme is a Dual-Career Pathway where talented women’s rugby players will enrol onto a tailored post 16 education offer that includes performance training with Sale Sharks Women’s advanced RFU qualified coaches, programmed Strength & Conditioning with our UKSCA qualified coaches, Registered Nutritional guidance and Sports Rehabilitation support all alongside your chosen academic studies at Burnley College campus.
Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to play and train at Sale Sharks’ Carrington High Performance Training Centre. Applicants can choose to study any Sport & Fitness course or from a broad selection of A-Level subjects as part of the programme at Burnley College, subject to your GCSE and/or equivalent qualification grade results.
Applicants will be invited in for taster and selection days. Successful applicants can enrol onto the programme choosing a course from the options below:
- Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science
- Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport Coaching & Development
- Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, Fitness & Personal Training
- A Levels (from selected subjects)
Entry Requirements: Subject to ability in Rugby. Level 3 and A Level course entry subject to GCSE or equivalent subject grades. Free use of our outstanding sport and rehabilitation facilities at Fitness Evolution.
