The course will help you develop both academically and professionally, allowing you to understand the underpinning skills of the healthcare profession. You will use a range of assessment methods aimed at linking the theory to the practice. There is a strong emphasis on working with others and the importance of effective communication, both with other professionals and service users.
Entry Requirements: 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including Science or a relevant Level 1 qualification.

- HSC M1: Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
- HSC M2: Human growth and development
- HSC M3: Safeguarding and protection in health and social care
- HSC M4: Communication in health and social care
- HSC M5: Working in health and social care
- HSC O9: Mental health and well-being
- HSC O10: Nutrition for health and social care
Assessment: All units are assessed internally in line with the CACHE assessment principles.
You may progress onto a Level 3 Health and Social Care, T Level in Health and Specialise in Supporting the Adult Nursing Team, Supporting the Care of Children and Young Peoples Settings or Supporting the Midwifery Team or a Themis Apprenticeship.
Enjoy seminars and workshops led by guest speakers and engage in activities that bring your learning to life and help you achieve your ambitions. Past and planned activities have included fundraising for local charities and team building exercises within our community.
