Year 10 & 11 Applicants. Course runs for 1 week (10am - 3pm) on a Saturday. Start Dates: 8th November 2025 and 7th March 2026.
In this exciting programme, you will take part in a range of dance technique classes and workshops to develop your skills and experience life as a dancer at Burnley College. You’ll get to work with our outstanding Dance lecturers to explore a variety of styles and techniques, develop your physical and expressive skills, and build confidence as a performer.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this taster programme. This programme is open to students in year 10 & 11.
Assessment: There is no formal assessment on this programme, but you will receive supportive feedback throughout to help you improve your dance technique, performance skills and creativity. This will support you in developing your skills in preparation for starting your college dance training. There will also be an opportunity to watch our Dance Showcase to get you excited for the next level of training here at College.
This Dance programme focuses on developing the key physical, creative and performance skills needed to progress onto a Level 1, 2 or 3 Dance Courses at Burnley College. You’ll also meet other like-minded dancers who may become your future classmates, making the transition to college exciting and supportive.
