OROS Aerospace LTD are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join their team as an Apprentice Project Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to develop practical workplace skills and experience in a global aerospace operation while working towards a recognised qualification.
Hours: This will be discussed at interview stage. 36 hours a week.
Duration: 1 year 6 months.
Work: Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work:
- Provide administrative support with project costings, repairs, purchases and sales.
- Understand and carry out work in line with established Aerospace Standards.
- Assist in managing logistics of parts and engines internationally.
- Help update project plans, logs, and documentation.
- Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding actions.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure information is stored correctly.
Where you’ll work: Unit 5, Baublock Blackburn Road, Simonstone Burnley BB12 7FS.
Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Skills required:
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation.
- Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
- Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
- Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
- Makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management.
- Drafts correspondence, writes reports and reviews others' work.
- Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
- Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement.

About this employer: OROS Aerospace LTD is a global aerospace operation, who support with Aircraft Engine MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) projects, and collaborate with suppliers, vendors and customers in the UK and abroad, following projects from receipt to completion.
After this apprenticeship: You will gain a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Qualification. Once completed, you may be able to progress onto a higher level apprenticeship.
