Computer Science is at the heart of the 21st century with far-reaching benefits to society, commerce, health and engineering. Using the programme Python, favoured by employers and universities, you will learn the theory of programming and how to develop coding solutions for complex situations. You’ll look at databases, data structures, algorithms and networking, studying the components of a computer and learning how these make powerful machines. You will also complete a project worth 20% of your final grade in year 2.

Start Date: 02/09/2026

Entry Requirements: 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above - including English and Grade 6 in Mathematics and/or a Grade 5 in Computing.
