During this apprenticeship you will gain the knowledge and skills to become a qualified Painter and Decorator. You will complete practical training on various topics such as:

  • Preparation of Surfaces
  • Health and Safety (Working at Height)
  • Application of Paint systems
  • Application of various wallpapers
  • Spraying Systems

Start Date: 01/08/2026

Entry Requirements: A minimum of two GCSEs at Grade 3 or above in Maths and English.

Assessment: Candidates will complete a 24 month training period, followed by an End Point Assessment (EPA). This will consist of:

  • 10 hour Practical skills assessment
  • Multiple Choice theory exam
  • 45 minute interview/ professional discussion based on a Portfolio of Evidence
