About the role

Sopha launched its dedicated flooring department in September, with demand growing far more quickly than expected. To support this growth, we’re looking for a Flooring Operations Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day running of flooring jobs. This role is about making flooring jobs run smoothly — from order progression through to fitting, completion and payment — within a small, collaborative team.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Progressing flooring orders and taking payments
  • Managing the flooring fitting diary and booking subcontracted fitters
  • Ordering, receiving and preparing flooring materials and accessories
  • Carrying out practical preparation where appropriate (including cutting carpet)
  • Ensuring fitters arrive fully prepared
  • Communicating with customers post-sale and resolving issues
  • Ensuring jobs are completed, invoiced and closed promptly

You’ll be the operational point of control for flooring jobs.

Who this role suits:

  • Has worked in flooring, construction or a trade environment
  • Is organised, practical and calm under pressure
  • Is comfortable coordinating subcontractors
  • Enjoys job ownership and seeing work through to completion
  • Takes pride in preparation and getting things right

Experience as a fitter, estimator, or trade operations coordinator would be a strong advantage.

What we offer:

  • Circa £28,000 salary
  • Stable weekday working hours
  • Office-based role with practical involvement
  • A key position in a fast-growing department
  • Supportive, family-run business environment
