The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
We are looking to recruit a Paralegal to cover a period of maternity leave, for a fixed term period up to 12 months. Part-time (a minimum three-day working pattern) up to full-time working will be considered.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidates will ideally have debt recovery experience or have worked within a law firm and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of debt recovery matters. You will run a high volume case load using our specific debt recovery and diary management case system for clients of the Firm within the Firm's Dispute Resolution team.
Daily tasks will include:
- taking client instructions
- pro-active diary management
- all pre-action correspondence
- issuing and managing non-defended debt recovery court proceedings (including judgment and enforcement)
- speaking with debtors on the telephone and agreeing payment plans (subject to client instructions)
- managing internal debt recovery for the Firm
The successful candidate will have a proactive, 'can-do' attitude to enable them to work closely with a team of legal fee-earners, paralegals and legal assistants on all aspects of this work, and may have a fee earning target themselves. The ability to work as part of a team is therefore essential together with excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
