We are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to support our Residential Conveyancing team, based in our Carlisle office, for a fixed term period of up to 12 months.

Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will join our busy and friendly Conveyancing team and be able to demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of office administration, ideally in a legal environment. Knowledge and experience of assisting with conveyancing matters is desirable but not essential as specific training will be provided as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • General administrative tasks e.g. copying, scanning, file opening and archiving
  • Working with a case management system
  • Providing fee earner support
  • Liaising with Clients, Lenders, Estate Agents and Brokers
  • Post completion matters including registrations
  • Assisting with all aspects of a residential property transaction

The successful candidate will have a proactive, ‘can‑do’ attitude to enable them to work closely with a team of legal fee earners on all aspects of this work. The ability to work as part of a team is therefore essential together with excellent communication and IT skills.
