We are seeking an enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our clinical team, working 4–8 sessions in the historic market town of Hexham in the Tyne Valley.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage a clinically diverse caseload, delivering face‑to‑face and remote consultations and home visits.
  • Share duty doctor sessions with the GP team, working alongside Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Paramedics.
  • Perform daily administrative tasks including reviewing pathology results, clinical correspondence, and repeat prescription requests.
  • Contribute to the practice’s performance in the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), local enhanced services, and clinical audits.
  • Fully utilise the EMIS clinical system for patient consultations, telephone advice, and recording clinical data.
  • Undertake home visits and other general duties as required.
  • Assess, prescribe, refer, treat, and advise patients as needed.
  • Respond to clinical queries from the wider team and support the clinical team, including ANPs.
  • Complete medical reports and examinations (e.g., DVLA) as required.
  • Other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Full registration with the GMC.
  • No restrictions on clinical practice.
