We are seeking a dynamic and delivery-focused Digital Project Manager to join a growing digital innovation and transformation team within a large and complex organisation. This is an opportunity for an experienced technology professional to work across AI, automation, digital applications and emerging technologies, helping identify opportunities, develop solutions and deliver meaningful organisational change.

The role is suited to someone who enjoys working in an innovative, evolving environment and can combine strong project delivery skills with a genuine interest in AI, LLMs, automation and new technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of digital, AI and automation initiatives from idea through to implementation
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and solve business problems through technology
  • Exploring and prototyping AI, LLM, copilot and automation solutions
  • Helping assess and select appropriate technologies and approaches
  • Developing workflows, prompts and digital solutions
  • Working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver outcomes
  • Managing project scope, priorities, risks, resources and timelines
  • Supporting the implementation of AI and automation across different areas of the organisation
  • Managing internal and external delivery partners where required
  • Ensuring projects deliver measurable business value and outcomes
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation

About You:

We're looking for someone who combines strong digital delivery experience with curiosity, commercial awareness and a passion for emerging technology. You won't necessarily be a traditional Project Manager who is focused on methodology and governance. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working with ambiguity, solving problems and figuring out the best way to use technology to achieve an outcome.

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant experience delivering digital, technology or transformation projects
  • Practical understanding of AI, LLMs, automation and/or emerging technologies
  • Experience developing or implementing digital applications, workflows or technology-enabled solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of value, cost and business outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexible and pragmatic approach to project delivery
  • Genuine passion and curiosity for AI, innovation and solving problems
  • Experience working within Higher Education is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience within a start-up, scale-up, boutique consultancy or similarly agile environment would be advantageous.

Benefits:

  • Hybrid working arrangements
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Pension scheme
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Opportunity to work with emerging AI and automation technologies
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment

This role operates within a hybrid working model, with regular on-site presence required to support collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. If you're passionate about AI, enjoy finding better ways of doing things and want to help shape how emerging technology is used within a large organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
