We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Developer to join a dynamic IT Services team at a leading university in London. This is a key technical role focused on enhancing, maintaining, and supporting our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and related systems, contributing to the digital transformation of the university’s enterprise systems.

Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality solutions that support key administrative and academic functions across the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and support solutions within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) , focusing on HR, Payroll, and Finance modules.
  • Design and build reports using BI Publisher and other Oracle reporting tools.
  • Create and maintain Fast Formulas within EBS for Payroll processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver robust Oracle-based enhancements..
  • Provide technical documentation and ensure compliance with internal development standards.
  • Collaborate in Agile or hybrid project environments for new initiatives and upgrades.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Oracle Developer within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2 , particularly in core HR, Payroll, and Finance modules.
  • Proficiency in BI Publisher report development and customization.
  • In-depth knowledge of Fast Formulas and their application in Oracle EBS.
  • Strong SQL/PLSQL and performance tuning experience.
  • Familiarity with Oracle APIs, Interfaces, and concurrent processing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a live production environment.

Desirable (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) development.
  • Familiarity with higher education sector business processes.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM or transition projects (would be an advantage but not required).
