A major academic institution is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join its central IT team, supporting a large and distributed network estate serving over 6,000 users. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a highly respected technical team at the start of a multi-year programme of infrastructure renewal and service modernisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and develop a large-scale network infrastructure spanning multiple locations
- Work extensively with Cisco and Fortinet devices, ensuring robust performance and security
- Collaborate on network architecture planning and implementation
- Contribute to server and storage infrastructure support as required
- Uphold cybersecurity best practices and contribute to security-first design thinking
