Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking to play a key role in delivering impactful capital projects? We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation seeking a commercially astute professional to lead the financial and contractual management of a diverse portfolio of estate development projects.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will take the lead on all commercial aspects of capital delivery—overseeing cost planning, procurement, contract management, and financial reporting across a range of projects, including new builds and refurbishments. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive value, manage risk, and ensure strong commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost planning and commercial management across multiple capital projects
- Develop and manage procurement strategies, including tendering and supplier negotiations
- Oversee contract administration (JCT/NEC) and manage commercial risk
- Provide financial reporting, forecasting, and budget oversight
- Support strategic planning, investment decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage and mentor a commercial team and external consultants
About You
- Degree-qualified in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or similar
- Professionally qualified (e.g. RICS, CIMA, ACCA, CIOB) or working towards
- Strong experience in commercial management within construction, property, or capital projects
- Proven expertise in cost control, procurement, and contract management
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of public sector procurement and sustainability principles is advantageous
