p Category Manager – IT Technology Procurement /p p strong Location: /strong London / Hybrid /p p strong Salary: /strong Competitive /p p strong Grade: /strong G8 /p p strong Contract: /strong 3 Months Minimum /p p br /p p strong About the Role /strong /p p We are looking for an experienced strong Category Manager /strong to join a large, complex Higher education organisation and take ownership of an strong IT Technology procurement category /strong . /p p br /p p This is a senior commercial role, working closely with stakeholders across IT, Technology and wider business functions to develop and deliver category strategies, drive efficiencies and savings, and manage complex procurement and supplier relationships. /p p You will act as a subject matter expert, providing commercial and procurement advice while leading major sourcing, contracting and negotiation activity. /p p br /p p strong Key Responsibilities /strong /p ul li Own and develop the strategy for the IT Technology category. /li li Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation. /li li Lead complex and high-value procurement exercises and commercial projects. /li li Develop and deliver category strategies that achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies. /li li Lead contract negotiations and provide advice on commercial, contractual and compliance matters. /li li Manage frameworks, preferred supplier lists and competitive procurement exercises. /li li Identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation and continuous improvement. /li li Support major transformation and change programmes through effective commercial strategies. /li li Draft and develop commercial aspects of contracts in line with business requirements. /li li Lead and develop members of the procurement team. /li /ul p br /p p strong About You /strong /p p We are looking for someone with significant senior-level procurement experience, ideally within strong IT, Technology or Telecoms /strong . /p p br /p p You should have: /p ul li Strong experience managing strong IT / Technology procurement categories /strong . /li li Proven experience procuring strong software, infrastructure and technology solutions /strong . /li li Experience managing and negotiating with strong large, Tier 1 technology vendors /strong . /li li Strong software licensing and commercial contract experience. /li li Experience delivering complex, large-scale procurement projects. /li li Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. /li li Experience working within a large, complex and decentralised organisation. /li li Strong commercial and analytical ability. /li li Experience supporting organisational transformation and change. /li li The ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. /li li Experience developing robust procurement and contracting strategies. /li /ul p br /p p strong CIPS membership or equivalent professional development would be advantageous. /strong /p p br /p p strong Why Apply? /strong /p p This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, high-profile organisation and take ownership of a significant technology procurement category, working with senior stakeholders and major technology suppliers. /p p The role offers the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, deliver significant savings and efficiencies, and play a key role in major technology and organisational transformation programmes. /p
