An established and well-regarded organisation in the higher education sector is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support complex casework and organisational change during a period of transformation. This 12-month fixed-term contract is ideal for an HR professional with extensive experience in complex employee relations casework, legal risk management, and organisational change. The role requires a strategic advisor who can influence senior stakeholders and provide expert HR guidance in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex and high-risk employee relations cases, ensuring legal compliance and best practice
  • Provide expert guidance on employment law, grievances, disciplinaries, and disputes
  • Lead and support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and workforce planning
  • Identify and mitigate legal and reputational risks in casework and HR processes
  • Influence and advise senior stakeholders on complex HR matters
  • Coach and develop managers on effective people practices

About You:

  • Degree-level education and CIPD membership (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven track record in handling complex ER cases, legal risk management, and organisational change
  • Strong ability to influence and provide strategic HR advice to senior managers
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and best HR practice
  • Highly analytical with experience in HR reporting and risk assessment
  • Resilient, pragmatic, and solutions-focused
