The Role
As the Head of People, you will lead the People function, aligning people strategies with the institution\’s goals. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and on-site, enabling you to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement people strategies that support the institution\’s objectives.
- Lead on employee relations, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Provide expert advice to leadership on workforce planning and organisational development.
- Oversee people policies, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practices.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the institution.
- Manage and develop the People team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
About You
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior People leadership role, ideally within the education or public sector.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and people best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic people initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
Desirable:
- Experience in implementing people systems or digital transformation projects.
- Familiarity with challenges specific to the education sector.
