HR Projects & Policy Officer
Location: Hybrid working (East Anglia)
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed Term - 6-month FTC
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Projects & Policy Officer to join a Higher Education institution, supporting a range of strategic people initiatives.
Working closely with senior HR leaders, you'll play a key role in delivering HR projects, supporting organisational change programmes, developing HR policies and ensuring employment practices remain aligned with legislation and sector best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of HR projects and organisational change initiatives.
- Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation.
- Coordinate consultation activities and work collaboratively with HR colleagues, senior stakeholders and Trade Unions.
- Produce project plans, reports, communications and governance documentation.
- Support the implementation of new HR policies through guidance, toolkits, training and stakeholder engagement.
- Analyse HR data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience working within an HR environment with exposure to HR policy development or implementation.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A sound understanding of UK employment legislation.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear policies, reports and guidance.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience supporting organisational change or HR projects.
Desirable
- Experience within Higher Education or the wider public sector.
- Experience working in a unionised environment.
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).
- Experience delivering briefings or training sessions.
