About the Role

An established and prestigious organisation in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Plumber & Heating Engineer to join its in-house Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to work across a diverse property portfolio, maintaining and improving a wide range of plumbing, heating and drainage systems within historic and modern buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and develop planned preventative maintenance programmes
  • Inspect, service, repair and maintain domestic hot and cold water systems
  • Service, maintain and repair boilers, heating systems and domestic gas appliances
  • Maintain above and below-ground drainage systems, including foul and surface water services
  • Undertake plumbing upgrades, replacements and improvement works
  • Carry out minor engineering and fabrication works as required
  • Prepare specifications and instructions for specialist contractors undertaking larger projects
  • Order materials and replacement parts as required
  • Assist with general maintenance activities when needed
  • Drive company vehicles in support of maintenance operation

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised Plumbing & Heating qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Current Gas Safe Registration
  • Domestic Gas qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience working with modern heating control systems
