Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant Type: Contract Experience required: Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc) and Higher Education Experience Salary: £400 – £600 per day The ideal candidate will have experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management accounting, and a strong understanding of business operations. They will be skilled at preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Additionally, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and a strong business acumen. Key Responsibilities: Collating and summarizing large amounts of data into clear and concise reports for non-financial stakeholders. Developing and implementing efficient financial processes and procedures. Preparing and analysing budgets, identifying variances, and communicating findings to non-financial staff. Working with complex financial information and extracting key insights for decision-making. Handling sensitive financial information with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality. Partnering with business leaders to understand their needs and provide strategic financial advice. Using data and analytics to identify trends and opportunities to improve business performance. Developing and implementing financial models to support decision-making. Preparing and analysing management accounts to provide insights into business performance. Essential Skills and Experience: Knowledge of the Higher Education Sector (Must have). Business partnering, FP&A and management accounts experience (Must have) Experience with project or product costing (preferred). Experience working in a busy finance office. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software. Qualifications ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified (or working towards) Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements and periodicals Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
