Join Burlodge. At Burlodge, we design and manufacture meal delivery systems that help clients deliver high-quality meals with confidence. The company serves hospitals, long-term care facilities, learning environments, and correctional institutions, focusing on perfectly heated or chilled meals several times a day. We are proud to be part of the Ali Group, one of the world's leading foodservice equipment manufacturers, combining the supportive culture of a family business with the stability and opportunities of a global organisation. Our customers include NHS trusts, private healthcare providers and care organisations across the UK and Ireland. We're known for our quality products, outstanding service and long-term customer relationships.

We're looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to take ownership of an established and successful territory across South and South West England.

About the Role

This isn't a traditional hard-selling sales role. We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and helping customers improve their catering operations. You'll inherit a well-established territory with existing customers and significant opportunities for growth. You'll spend your time visiting customers, understanding their challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement, demonstrating solutions, supporting installations and developing long-term partnerships.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing an established sales region
  • Building strong relationships with NHS, healthcare and care sector customers
  • Understanding customer operations and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Presenting solutions that deliver genuine value and improve patient meal services
  • Managing projects from initial discussions through to installation and training
  • Supporting customers after sale and identifying future opportunities
  • Promoting equipment, service contracts, consumables and other value-added solutions
  • Sharing customer feedback and market insights with colleagues across the business
  • Developing plans to maximise growth across your territory

Who We're Looking For

We're much more interested in the person than the sales CV. In fact, if you understand healthcare catering, foodservice operations, hospitals or the NHS, that experience could be more valuable to us than a traditional sales background. What matters most is that you:

  • Are self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Enjoy meeting people and building relationships
  • Can understand customer challenges and identify practical solutions
  • Are organised and able to manage your own workload
  • Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude
  • Are willing to learn, develop and put in the effort required to achieve results
  • Can be receptive to buying signals and progress client relationships from information-gathering and promotion to order and delivery
  • Are comfortable speaking with people at all levels, from frontline teams to senior management to gather a full picture of a customer's needs
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive team

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience within healthcare, NHS, care homes or foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of cook-chill, cook-freeze or patient feeding systems
  • Previous training, account management or sales experience
  • Experience delivering presentations or customer training

Why Join Burlodge?

  • Established customer base and strong market reputation
  • Real earning potential through commission
  • Comprehensive product training and ongoing support
  • Friendly, collaborative team culture
  • Long-term career development opportunities
  • Opportunity to make a genuine difference in healthcare catering and patient experience
  • Company Car (Hybrid / Electric)
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Enhanced Pension Scheme

If you're ambitious, people-focused and looking for an opportunity where hard work is recognised and rewarded, we'd love to hear from you.
