We are seeking dedicated and personable individuals to join our team as Front of House Day Porter. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional and welcoming Front of House team, delivering outstanding service all year round.

This is a full time, 40h, 5 days over 7, permanent role.

Role Overview

As a Day Porter, you are the welcoming face of the hotel, providing guests with a warm, friendly, and seamless arrival and departure experience. You will help set the tone from the moment guests step through our doors and ensure they leave with lasting positive impressions.

Key Requirements of the role

  • Warmly welcome guests, opening doors and assisting them as they arrive or depart; assisting with luggage on arrival and departure, storing bags when required, providing door coverage.
  • Assist with guest luggage, including transporting bags to rooms, storing items securely, and providing support when needed.
  • Provide effective door coverage and maintain a professional presence in front-of-house area, provide reception cover for breaks or busy spells at the desk.
  • Having an excellent knowledge of the local area including attractions, transportation systems, theatre, tourist sites, sporting activities, shops, restaurants.
  • Offer information about hotel amenities, services, and operating hours.
  • Introduce guests to room features and facilities upon arrival.
  • Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and maintain high cleanliness and safety standards.
