About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of a children's residential home. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the children's home.
  • Ensure high-quality care, safeguarding, and development opportunities for residents.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the staff team, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive, nurturing environment tailored to each young person's needs.
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and incident reporting to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Support Ofsted inspections, ensuring compliance with Children's Home Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Liaise with external professionals, including social workers, educators, and healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), with willingness to work towards Level 5.
  • Experience in children's residential care with leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
