Ready for your next step in care management? You’ve supervised carers, organised the rota and kept everything ready for CQC. Now you’re ready to take charge. As our Care Team Manager, you’ll lead the care teams across our two New Forest offices, in Ringwood and our brand-new office in New Milton, working alongside our Registered Manager, Carly Burley. It’s a new role, at an exciting time for Burley’s.

Why Burley’s Home Care?

A family-run care provider that grows its people. Burley’s Home Care has provided home care and live-in care since 2009. We’re family-run, we’re growing, and we believe great care starts with a great team.

Where we started: Paul and Carly Burley started Burley’s in Ringwood in 2009 because they’d seen what poor care looks like and wanted to do better. That’s still the whole reason.

How we’re growing: From home visits in Ringwood to live-in care across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, with an office in Salisbury, a brand-new office in New Milton and our sister company, Bright Heart Home Care.

Trust and expertise: Inspected and rated Good by the Care Quality Commission. Rated 9.8 out of 10 from 135 reviews on homecare.co.uk, with seven consecutive homecare.co.uk Top 20 awards (2018 to 2024).

We grow our own: Burley’s promotes from within. Carers become senior carers, supervisors and coordinators. As Care Team Manager, you’ll lead that growth and learn from our Registered Manager along the way.

“Burley’s Home Care is all about looking after people the way you’d want your own grandparents looked after. Our elderly deserve the best care we can deliver. That means great customer service, growing our carers, supporting our team and having fun doing it. Care should be fun, and it’s our way of giving back to our community.” - Paul Burley, co-founder

Burley’s Home Care Values:

  • Teamwork: We’re a team trying to do this properly, and we have fun doing it.
  • Skilled: Everyone is trained to national standards, with extra support whenever it’s needed.
  • Family Business: Family-run since 2009. We look after people the way we’d want our own family looked after.
  • Respect: Every person should have a voice and be listened to: the people we support, their families and our team.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is a new role, leading day-to-day care across our New Forest offices. You’ll take charge of how care is delivered, lead the people who deliver it, and help build our brand-new New Milton office from the start.

Your role at a glance:

  • Lead your own team: Our Field Care Supervisor and Care Coordinators, and the carers behind them.
  • Build something new: Help grow our brand-new New Milton office from day one.
  • Get out and about: Do assessments and meet the people we support and their families.
  • Grow with us: Work side by side with our Registered Manager, with Registered Manager as a future step.
  • Back your team: As their leader, you’ll be part of our on-call team, there for your carers when they need you.

Benefits include:

  • 28 days’ annual leave per year, including bank holidays
  • Blue Light Discount package
  • Mileage paid at 40p per mile
  • £250 Refer a Friend scheme
  • Company Pension Scheme

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing people: Line-manage our Field Care Supervisor and Care Coordinators. Supervisions, appraisals, coaching, and the first-level performance conversations.
  • Quality, safeguarding and CQC: Quality audits and oversight of care plans and risk assessments. Safeguarding, complaints and incidents, and keeping both offices ready for inspection.
  • Rotas and continuity: Oversight of rotas, staffing and capacity across both offices, so the people we support see familiar faces.
  • Meeting the people we support: Getting out to do assessments and meet the people we support and their families, so you know the people behind the care plans.

Essential requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, as a minimum
  • At least two years in a supervisory, senior or management role in care
  • Experience managing care staff: supervisions, rotas and performance
  • A working knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own car

It would help if you have:

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or you’re working towards one. You don’t need to be a Registered Manager already. You do need to be ready to lead.
