About The Role
As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll help elderly clients live comfortably at home while promoting their independence and well-being. Your duties will include:
- Assisting with personal care, medication, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Offering companionship to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
- Helping clients attend appointments and remain active with gentle exercise.
- Monitoring well-being, updating care plans, and liaising with healthcare professionals.
- Supporting daily tasks like shopping and keeping records for family updates.
With visits lasting at least an hour, you’ll have time to build meaningful relationships and deliver top-quality care that truly makes a difference.
Who We’re Looking For

Typical duties of our Home Care Support Workers include assisting our service users with personal care such as bathing and toileting; changing their clothes; medication administration and some domestic chores around our service user’s home, such as meal preparation and shopping whilst importantly giving them companionship.
