About The Role

As a Home Help Assistant, you’ll help elderly clients live comfortably at home while promoting their independence and well-being. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with personal care, medication, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Offering companionship to reduce loneliness and social isolation.
  • Helping clients attend appointments and remain active with gentle exercise.
  • Monitoring well-being, updating care plans, and liaising with healthcare professionals.
  • Supporting daily tasks like shopping and keeping records for family updates.

With visits lasting at least an hour, you’ll have time to build meaningful relationships and deliver top-quality care that truly makes a difference.

Who We’re Looking For

No experience is necessary. We are looking for:

  • A caring, compassionate and reliable individual who is willing to give their best.
  • A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those you care for.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to use own initiative and make independent decisions where appropriate.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car is also essential.

Typical duties of our Home Care Support Workers include assisting our service users with personal care such as bathing and toileting; changing their clothes; medication administration and some domestic chores around our service user’s home, such as meal preparation and shopping whilst importantly giving them companionship.
