About The Role
Location: Birchwood Park Golf & Country Club
Reports to: Head PGA Professional
Job Purpose: To develop as a PGA Professional while supporting the day-to-day golf operations of the club. The role combines coaching, customer service, retail, and practical experience aligned with the PGA of GB&I Training Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Coaching & Player Development
- Assist with individual and group coaching sessions under supervision
- Support junior, beginner, and academy programmes
- Promote coaching services and help grow participation
- Maintain safe and professional practice environments
- Golf Operations
- Assist with daily running of the pro shop and golf operations
- Manage tee sheets, bookings, and customer enquiries
- Support competitions, opens, and club events
- Retail & Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service to members and visitors
- Assist with retail sales, merchandising, stock control, and POS systems
- Promote custom fitting, lessons, and club services
