Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including food prep areas, equipment, utensils, and crockery.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and ensure all cleaning duties are carried out to a high standard.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required (e.g. peeling, chopping).
- Ensure waste is correctly segregated and disposed of following health & safety standards.
- Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and storage areas regularly.
- Ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with clean equipment and report shortages to the Head Chef.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards (e.g. COSHH, HACCP).
- Support the team during events, functions, and peak service times.
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis.
