The Role
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support our Maintenance Manager in keeping the site safe, well-presented, and fully operational each day. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a supportive team, and taking pride in maintaining high standards across buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas. You will play a key role in preventative maintenance, repairs, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planned and preventative maintenance programmes in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Support the maintenance, operation, and servicing of all buildings and equipment
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing faults and breakdowns, responding promptly to minimise downtime
- Work flexibly to meet operational priorities and agreed timescales
- Support site and group-wide maintenance requirements
- Assist with stock control of maintenance consumables
- Liaise effectively with managers, team members, suppliers, and contractors
- Support monitoring of contractors and suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop and working environment
- Assist with indoor and outdoor maintenance and presentation, including decoration
- Use chemicals safely in line with COSHH regulations and PPE requirements
- Carry out any additional duties as requested by management
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all policies, health & safety procedures, and complete required training
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Complete checklists and service records accurately and on time
- Maintain documentation in line with company and audit standards
Working Conditions
This is a physically active, outdoor role. Regularly working outside in all weather conditions. Standing, walking, and manual tasks required.
