Are you a motivated sales professional with a passion for hospitality, events, and delivering exceptional customer experiences? Aldwickbury Park Golf Club is a well-established, thriving golf club situated within the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside, featuring an 18-hole main course & 9-hole short course. Alongside our successful membership offering, we host a wide range of events including weddings, corporate functions, private celebrations, golf days, and community events. Our events department continues to grow, and we are looking for someone who can build on this success.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Manager to join our thriving business on a 1-year maternity cover contract. With a busy members' environment, an established reputation, and a flourishing events department, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving revenue and creating memorable experiences for our guests and members alike.

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maximising revenue opportunities across the club, with a strong focus on events, functions, and corporate business. You will work closely with the operations and events teams to ensure seamless delivery from enquiry through to event completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing incoming sales enquiries and converting leads into bookings
  • Driving sales across weddings, corporate events, golf days, and private functions
  • Managing a successful Sales Team, recognising and rewarding success, and managing under performance
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, members, and local businesses
  • Developing new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Conducting site visits and client meetings
  • Coordinating with the events and hospitality teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences
  • Monitoring sales performance and achieving agreed targets
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting activity
Requirements:
  • Hospitality and Leisure sector experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of leading and managing a successful Sales Team in a pressured environment
Skills:
  • Good communication skills: Verbal, Written and Listening.
  • Good time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills to promote inclusivity and openness.
