The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.

It is the ambition for Redbourn Golf Club to be recognised as an open and inclusive club for all standards of golfers. The Range Host would be responsible for the checking in and welcoming of all range users, the introduction of the Trackman system to them and the upselling of food & beverage. The upkeep and cleanliness of the range is also the Range Host's responsibility during their shift. Flexibility is pivotal both in terms of cross department working and availability at busy times to meet both weekly and seasonal demands of the business.

The ideal candidate should have a background in both customer relations as well as sales. The role requires a high level of customer interaction, and the candidate needs to be approachable as well as a good communicator. This should be backed up by a good level of golfing knowledge.

This role incorporates the daily management of operations on the range, ensuring the highest level of service and standards is delivered to the customer as well as actively maximising food & beverage sales.

  • To greet and welcome all customers onto the driving range.
  • To manage the bay booking system and ensure bays are ready for those customers.
  • To ensure that all range facilities are clean and presented to the highest possible level.
  • To liaise with the Range & Course Manager to raise any issues or suggestions regarding the outfield.
  • To work with the Golf Operations Manager to support any coaching activities.
  • Maintain any marketing materials and ensure everything is presented well and in date.
  • To promote the use of the Trackman facilities in full, including the App.
  • Solicit & handle customer enquiries and issues and deal with to the best of their ability.
  • Ensure all range users using the facilities in a safe and sensible manner.
  • To undertake any further duties requested by management.

Due to the seasonality of golf and opening hours there is a requirement for flexibility. Typical shift pattern will be anywhere between 4 and 8 hours. Weekend work will be part of the schedule. Weekly rota is shared 1 week in advance.
