Deputy Course Manager - Buckinghamshire Wycombe Heights Golf Club is currently seeking a Deputy Course Manager to work alongside the Course Manager in maintaining and continually improving the golf course to the highest possible standards, utilising modern techniques, products and equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and experience in the application of pesticides and fertilisers and hold the relevant qualifications and certifications.

Candidates do not need to be currently employed as a Deputy Course Manager.

The role would also suit ambitious individuals looking to progress into a deputy position, with training, mentoring and professional development provided.

The Deputy Course Manager reports directly to the Course Manager.

Under the supervision of the Course Manager, the Deputy Course Manager directs and participates in the maintenance of the golf course, supervises maintenance work carried out by the greenkeeping team, and undertakes related duties as required.

The Deputy Course Manager will assume the responsibilities of the Course Manager during periods of absence.

Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, scheduling and supervising golf course maintenance operations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using the Ground2Control system in the absence of the Course Manager.

Communicate effectively with the Course Manager and wider team regarding daily activities, objectives, plans and any issues requiring attention.

Schedule work activities and supervise employees and the use of equipment.

Train team members in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of mowing and other turfcare equipment.

Supervise pesticide and fertiliser applications and operate, calibrate and maintain application equipment as required.

Supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of irrigation pumping stations, irrigation systems and drainage infrastructure.

Assist with personnel management, staff development, performance reviews, disciplinary procedures and health and safety compliance.

Support the Course Manager in the implementation and delivery of the club's agronomic plan.

Ensure agreed standards of course presentation and maintenance are consistently achieved.

Support wider club operations where required, in line with business needs.
