The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll services for multiple clients, ensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally. The role involves direct client interaction, so being personable and clear in communication is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
  • Managing RTI submissions and pension uploads
  • Handling holiday pay, statutory leave, and CIS returns
  • Liaising with clients to gather payroll data and resolve queries
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC and pension regulations
  • Supporting payroll year-end and P60/P11D preparation
  • Maintaining accurate records and audit trails

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience
  • BrightPay experience is essential (non-negotiable)
  • Experience in either an accountancy practice or in-house payroll team
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • Friendly, professional communicator with a client-first mindset
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
