The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll services for multiple clients, ensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally. The role involves direct client interaction, so being personable and clear in communication is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
- Managing RTI submissions and pension uploads
- Handling holiday pay, statutory leave, and CIS returns
- Liaising with clients to gather payroll data and resolve queries
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC and pension regulations
- Supporting payroll year-end and P60/P11D preparation
- Maintaining accurate records and audit trails
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience
- BrightPay experience is essential (non-negotiable)
- Experience in either an accountancy practice or in-house payroll team
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation
- Friendly, professional communicator with a client-first mindset
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
