About the Role
The Defender Burghley Horse Trials is part of the Burghley Estate, a diverse business centred in Stamford, Lincolnshire. At the heart of the Estate is Burghley House, set within 1,500 acres of historic parkland. This pivotal administrative role forms a core part of the team involved in delivering Defender Burghley Horse Trials. It is a varied and engaging role with the possibility of career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Retail Manager by handling enquiries from potential and existing exhibitors
- Assist with all administrative processes related to exhibitor management
- Manage the IT elements of the exhibitor hub and any future digital systems
- Liaise with exhibitors regarding pre-event queries and ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted
- Oversee the production of all exhibitor-related materials, both printed and digital
- Ensure all exhibitor information for the event programme and website is accurate and up to date
- Liaise with the Exhibitor Camping Steward to support logistical planning
- Monitor existing sustainability initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of new ones
- Act as the sustainability champion and represent the team at wider Estate sustainability meetings
Skills and Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Excellent organisational skills & time management with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to plan and communicate effectively
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to manage own workload and be proactive in delivering your responsibilities
Additional Information
This is predominantly an office-based role, with some potential scope for hybrid working. It is essential that the role holder is able to work extended hours in the run up to, during and post Event, during which time annual leave will be restricted (mid-June to end October). The role is full-time, however there would be an opportunity to work either part-time or full-time from mid-October to December. This could be discussed at interview.
