We are seeking passionate and driven Chefs de Partie to join our culinary team. While you will predominantly work in one of our venues, all CDPs will be fully trained and support across both kitchens – offering an exciting opportunity to diversify your skills and work on varied menus.
About the Role
As a Chef de Partie, you’ll confidently run your section, prepare high‑quality dishes using the best seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, and play an important role in smooth, professional service. From refined dining at the Hotel to characterful, high‑volume service at The Pilchard Inn, no two days are the same – and every plate matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead your section with professionalism and consistency
- Prepare and cook fresh, seasonal dishes to spec
- Maintain excellent mise en place and kitchen organisation
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement
- Work as part of a supportive, collaborative team across both venues
What We’re Looking For
- Previous CDP or strong Demi‑CDP experience in a quality kitchen
- Passion for fresh, well‑executed food
- Ability to perform under pressure and stay calm in service
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time‑management skills
- A desire to grow, learn, and take pride in your craft
48‑hour contract across 5 days. Evenings, weekends, and bank holidays expected. Live‑out applicants must have a car & valid UK driving licence due to island location. Right to work in the UK required (no sponsorship available).
