At our Production site based in Isleham, Cambridgeshire we are looking for a diligent, self-motivated team player who can exceed in their duties to help us retain our position as a leading conventional roots supplier in the UK.
We are looking for an individual to join us on 9-12 month fixed-term contract to cover this role while the permanent postholder is absent due to sickness.
You will work 5 nights in 7, with hours equating to 42.5 hour per week, in return for a competitive salary. Your hours worked will usually be from 21:00 to 05:30, with a 30 minute unpaid break.
Responsibility
The Job Role
Reporting directly to the Night Hygiene Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that we meet hygiene standards as well as maintaining leadership standards within the department.
The accountabilities of the role include:
Ensure that COSHH regulations and all Health & Safety, Company Policies and Procedures are followed by you and your team.
Empower your team to provide input and suggestions, which lead to continuous improvement and development, promoting a customer first culture.
To ensure the factory is cleaned to agreed hygiene standards and that the cleaning schedule is followed, maintaining cleaning records appropriately.
Ensure that your team are sufficiently trained.
To control and monitor usage of cleaning chemicals and reorder stock as required keeping within the budget.
Ensure all H&S / HR (people) documentation is in place and regularly reviewed; Conducting investigations and disciplinary hearings up to final written warning.
Complete time and attendance of the team including conducting return to work interviews after periods of absence and arrange adequate shift cover, in the absence of your line manager.
Drive continued usage & systems knowledge within your team.
Help to develop and nurture a high performing team of Night Hygiene operatives.
Assist line manager with project work.
Deputise for the Night Hygiene Manager in their absence.
What we are looking for
Experience working as a team leader, preferably within a hygiene department.
2 years working within a similar environment.
COSHH Trained.
Strong communication and IT skills.
