Are you looking to kick-start your career in Finance and work towards becoming a qualified accountant?
We are looking for two Trainee Accountants to join our highly skilled and experienced Finance team at Burges Salmon. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of accounting disciplines while receiving support towards your ACCA or CIMA qualification.
About the Role
As a Trainee Accountant, you will rotate across key areas of our Finance department including Commercial Finance and Tax & Partnership Accounting with opportunities to learn from our Finance Systems and Operational Finance teams.
What You\\\’ll Be Doing
- Supporting management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and audits
- Contributing to tax compliance, including VAT returns and tax computations
- Partner accounting, including reconciliations and profit share calculations
- Analysing financial data and supporting business performance
- Building strong relationships across the business through effective communication
What we are looking For
- A 2:1 degree (accounting-related preferred) or fully qualified AAT
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
- A commitment to completing a chartered accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
- A curious, proactive mindset with a drive to learn and improve
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office suite
