What you'll be doing

You'll advise a range of clients including high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, international families, business owners, family offices, landed estates, private banks, wealth managers and trust companies. You'll work on high-value, complex succession and tax planning matters, for clients with international affairs. The range of work might typically include advising on the UK statutory residence test, the long-term residence and FIG regimes, the creation and ongoing UK taxation of trusts and family investment companies, cross-border estates including drafting Wills and advice on family succession and governance.

  • Relevant experience working on international tax and succession planning matters for high-net worth individuals and their related structures
  • Be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
  • Be self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer
  • STEP qualification desirable
