Are you an experienced Real Estate Finance lawyer looking for a role where you can take on high-quality work, build strong client relationships and have genuine responsibility for transactions?

Would you like to advise leading lenders, investors, developers and sponsors on complex, high-value real estate finance matters?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

The Team

Our Banking & Finance team provides comprehensive legal services to a diverse range of borrowers, sponsors, lenders and public sector bodies, advising on transactions across sectors including real estate, energy and infrastructure, and financial services.

Within the wider team, our Real Estate Finance practice advises UK and international banks, alternative lenders, debt funds, institutional investors, developers and borrowers on sophisticated investment, development and portfolio financing transactions across a broad range of asset classes.

As an experienced member of the team, you'll work on matters including:

  • Investment and development financings
  • Portfolio and multi-asset financings
  • Acquisition and refinancing transactions
  • Complex borrower and lender-side mandates

You'll work closely with colleagues across Real Estate, Construction, Planning, Tax and Corporate, giving you the opportunity to provide an integrated service to clients and develop a strong understanding of the wider commercial context behind their transactions.

Alongside leading and managing transactions, you'll have the opportunity to develop long-term client relationships, support and mentor junior colleagues, contribute to business development and help shape the continued growth of the practice.

What you'll need

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Real Estate Finance lawyer who combines strong technical skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong experience advising on real estate finance transactions
  • Experience acting for lenders, borrowers or both
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills
  • The ability to manage matters with an appropriate degree of autonomy
  • Experience supporting and developing more junior lawyers
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients
  • Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales or Scotland

We're interested in the quality and breadth of your experience, so we'd also be keen to hear from lawyers whose broader banking and finance background includes a significant Real Estate Finance element.
