We are expanding our team in order to meet increasing client needs and are looking to recruit across multiple Associates across an array of speciality sectors, where we have an extensive pipeline of work. These sectors include renewable energy, defence, sustainable transport/infrastructure and public sector procurement.
In joining Burges Salmon, you can expect to work and develop alongside market-leading experts, providing regulatory and commercial legal advice on an enviable diet of complex and engaging projects. Due to the firm’s reputation and status, the team regularly tenders for some of the most innovative and important projects nationwide. The team is Tier 1 ranked and known for being one of the largest Projects Departments outside of London, with specialists singled out as 'leaders in their fields' (Legal 500, 2024). The Partners have a wealth of experience to impart and are very approachable and collaborative.

What you’ll need
- Relevant, practical experience providing regulatory and commercial legal advice on large-scale projects.
- Be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively.
- Be self-motivated and willing to learn.
- Demonstrable experience or interest within any of our key sectors (Energy, Defence, Sustainable Transport/Infrastructure, or public procurement).
- Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer.
