Reference: 1595We are looking for a Pricing & Profitability Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team and play an important role to help shape the future at Burges Salmon.You will join a forward-thinking Commercial Finance team working closely with colleagues across the firm to help shape commercially sustainable approaches to pricing and profitability. With plenty of scope to bring fresh ideas, yo will have the opportunity to make a real contribution as our pricing and profitability capability continues to evolve.What you'll be doingWorking closely with partners, legal teams, business professionals and colleagues across finance, you will:-Act as a trusted partner, advising on pricing, profitability, scoping, resourcing and commercial decisions.Create robust pricing models and commercial solutions for significant matters, tenders, pitches and client opportunities.Turn detailed financial analysis into clear, practical recommendations that support decision-making.Lead and contribute to client and matter profitability reviews, identifying opportunities and emerging risks.Explore different fee structures, delivery models and ways of working to support commercially sustainable outcomes.Contribute to the future direction of pricing and profitability, including how data, technology and AI can support new approaches to delivering and pricing legal services.What we're looking forYou will be comfortable working autonomously, building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders. Just as importantly, you'll be curious and commercially minded, with the confidence to look beyond established approaches when tackling new challenges.We're looking for:Strong commercial business partnering experience and sound commercial judgement.Experience developing pricing, profitability or broader commercial solutions.Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.Confidence influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.An interest in how technology and AI can support commercial decision-making and future ways of working.Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.Experience within professional services would be beneficial, and previous exposure to pricing would be useful but neither needs to define your background. What matters most is your ability to understand commercial challenges, analyse profitability and work effectively with senior stakeholders.A recognised accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous but we're equally open to candidates who can demonstrate equivalent commercial experience.Why Burges Salmon?
