As part of our continued investment in how we deliver complex, high-value work, we are looking to appoint a Head of Legal Project Management to continue to lead, shape and grow our firm-wide Legal Project Management (LPM) capability. This is a senior, strategic leadership role with real influence. Working closely with the Director of Transformation, partners and senior leaders, you will define the direction of LPM at Burges Salmon and play a key role in delivering efficient, commercially robust and client-focused legal services.
The role involves being responsible for the performance, profile and ongoing development of LPM across the firm. You will act as a trusted adviser to partners, oversee the delivery of complex and high-risk matters, and lead a specialist team supporting priority clients and portfolios.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and delivering the firm-wide Legal Project Management strategy
- Leading, mentoring and developing the LPM team
- Acting as a trusted adviser and senior escalation point for partners and senior stakeholders
- Overseeing the delivery of complex, high-value matters, with a focus on scope, resourcing, budgeting, risk and reporting
- Driving consistency, efficiency, profitability and client experience across matter delivery
- Working with Finance, Pricing and BD to support sustainable pricing and strong matter economics
- Embedding LPM standards, governance and data-led insight across the firm
- Collaborating with Innovation and Legal Technology teams to develop new and improve ways of working to ensure efficiency for the Firm and to deliver new and improved services for our clients
- Raising the internal and external profile of LPM, including supporting pitches and client conversations
