Overview
As a Finance Analyst in Commercial Finance, you turn financial data into actionable insights to support decision making. You will collaborate with Finance Business Partners on FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and client reporting, helping the business understand performance and opportunities. You’ll produce management information, create clear visual outputs, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Analyse financial data from multiple sources to support commercial decisions
- Produce accurate management information, reports and commentary
- Create clear visual outputs (charts, graphs, summaries) alongside numeric analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting and wider FP&A activity
- Contribute to client reporting with focus on accuracy and deadlines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver timely insight
- Maintain high attention to detail
Key requirements
- Strong Excel capability
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Financial awareness and understanding of data use in a commercial context
- Confident communicator who asks questions and flags issues
- Proactive, engaged approach and motivation to develop
- Experience presenting financial data visually
- Openness to new tools including AI enabled tools
- Desirable: Exposure to SQL or databases (training can be provided)
- Desirable: Studying towards or interested in a finance qualification (AAT / ACCA)
